Find the faster route, every time.
DARP Scout finds the relays that beat the direct path between your locations, for a faster and more predictable global network.
- Tests every location pair, around the clock
- Ranks where a relay beats your default route
- Calculates real speed and stability gains
Measurement technology proven in production with
- Tier 1 carrier
- Global satellite provider
- Top-20 betting operator During the 2022 World Cup
The problem
Your network takes the direct route, even when a faster one exists
The direct path between two nodes isn’t always the fastest or most stable. It’s still the default.
-
Slow routes are invisible
Nothing in your stack measures relay paths, so hidden delays and packet loss never show up anywhere you’d see them.
-
Direct isn’t always fastest
Networks send traffic straight from A to B by default. A detour through a relay can beat that path, and nothing flags it when it does.
-
Finding a faster route is manual
Confirming one exists means traceroutes and spreadsheets, usually a week of engineering time your team doesn’t have.
The solution
Introducing DARP Scout
An intelligent layer across your network that finds hidden inefficiencies and shows you exactly where a relay would fix them.
-
Expose hidden opportunities
A ranked list of relay wins, each priced in milliseconds saved. See where your network is slower than it needs to be and how much speed is available.
-
Continuous monitoring
Scout tests every node around the clock for latency, jitter, and packet loss. As you add nodes, Scout picks them up automatically.
-
Read-only by design
Scout only measures. It never touches live traffic, and every routing decision stays with your team.
Use cases
Proven in production
DARP’s measurement technology has run in production on some of the largest networks in the world. In each deployment, it found underperforming relays the operator didn’t know about and routed traffic onto faster paths.
Tier 1 carrier
A major US telecom ran it across its backbone, where a single slow relay affects traffic for millions of subscribers.
Satellite internet
A global satellite provider used it on a network whose paths shift constantly as the constellation moves.
International transit
An Asia-Pacific transit provider measured its cross-border routes, where long-haul pairs carry the most hidden delay.
Live betting
A top-20 betting operator ran it through the 2022 World Cup, when bet acceptance depended on every millisecond.
How it works
Three steps from deployment to ROI report
-
Deploy DARP Scout
Scout deploys read-only across your network, only on the nodes you designate.
-
Scout tests every pair
Each location-to-location pair is measured continuously and compared against every available relay detour.
-
Scout ranks the routing wins
Every relay that beats your default path lands on a ranked board with the milliseconds it saves. The pilot ends with an ROI report, reviewed with your team.
Inside the dashboard
See exactly where your network is losing time
The Scout dashboard shows every relay that beats your default path, the detail behind each one, and how much of your network Scout has measured.
-
Opportunity board
Every relay win, ranked by impact and topped by your Network Opportunity Score.
-
Path detail
p50, p90, and p99 latency and stability for any location pair, with the direct path next to the best relay.
-
Coverage and confidence
How much of your network Scout has measured, and how confident it is in each result.
Who it’s for
Built for networks where milliseconds matter
Scout is for teams that run their own infrastructure across multiple regions, where a slow route shows up as a worse product or lost revenue.
Sportsbooks and betting operators
A slow route between a data center and a regional edge means more rejected bets.
Live streaming and sports media
Viewers feel jitter and packet loss as buffering and dropped streams.
Trading and financial services
Scout covers the paths that run over the public internet, where a faster relay can take meaningful time off every round trip.
Blockchain infrastructure
Validators and RPC nodes spread across continents, and slow propagation between them costs rewards and degrades the user experience.
Scout is a fit if:
- Your traffic crosses regions or continents
- You run servers or nodes in several locations, not just one cloud region
- Latency or jitter directly affects your users or your revenue
FAQ
The questions your review meeting will ask
Straight answers on the traffic boundary, the numbers, and the rollout.
Does DARP Scout touch my live traffic?
No, and it can’t. Scout measures and predicts only. It never carries or redirects a packet of production traffic. Acting on a route is your decision, made with your tools.
What is the Network Opportunity Score?
The share of all your node pairs that would gain 10 ms or more by detouring through a relay. It travels with a second number, the Relay Win Rate: of the pairs where a relay path exists, how often that relay delivers a 10 ms or better win. Neither number is ever shown without naming the population it covers.
What does deployment involve?
Scout deploys read-only, only on the nodes you designate. Once it’s in, every location-to-location pair is tested continuously. No traffic changes, no re-architecture.
How do predictions stay honest?
Every projected gain carries a PREDICTED badge until it’s verified. REALIZED is earned, never assumed. A coverage and confidence view shows how much of your network Scout can vouch for, and how sure it is.
How do I make the case internally?
Every opportunity shows the milliseconds it saves and its impact: high, medium, or low. Each pilot ends with an ROI report, reviewed with your team.
